Service Areas

Right Way Insulation provides spray foam insulation for homes and businesses throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut, and Westchester County, New York. Every town we work in has its own mix of building ages, construction styles, and weather exposure — a 1920s colonial in Ridgefield doesn’t lose heat the same way a waterfront home in Old Greenwich does — so knowing the area matters as much as knowing the material. Below are the communities we serve most often.

Stamford, CT

Stamford is our home base, and we cover the full range of the city’s housing stock — from the large, older homes on wooded lots in North Stamford to the waterfront properties of Shippan Point and Cove, the newer high-rise and townhouse construction around Harbor Point, and the established single-family neighborhoods of Springdale. North Stamford’s larger, often older homes typically have the biggest attics and basements to seal, while Shippan Point, Cove, and Harbor Point sit close to Long Island Sound, where salt air and humidity make closed-cell foam’s moisture resistance especially valuable in basements, crawl spaces, and rim joists.

Greenwich, CT

Greenwich covers everything from the historic estates of backcountry Greenwich to the tightly packed waterfront neighborhoods along the Sound, including Old Greenwich, Riverside, and Cos Cob. Old Greenwich and Riverside share the same coastal moisture exposure as Stamford’s shoreline neighborhoods, making basement and crawl space insulation a common project, while Cos Cob’s mix of older homes near the water and inland properties means we’re often sealing a combination of attic, wall, and foundation gaps in the same house.

Darien, CT

Darien’s housing stock leans toward larger single-family colonials on wooded or waterfront lots, many built decades before modern air-sealing standards existed. In a coastal town like Darien, an under-insulated attic and a damp, drafty basement are often the two biggest energy losses in the same home — which is why we typically recommend treating both together rather than one at a time.

New Canaan, CT

New Canaan is known nationally for its collection of mid-century modern homes — flat and low-slope roofs, large glass walls, and open floor plans that were never designed with today’s energy costs in mind. Spray foam is particularly well suited to these roof assemblies, sealing them completely in a way that older insulation methods struggle to match, alongside the town’s more traditional colonial-style homes that need the same attention to attics, walls, and crawl spaces as anywhere else in the county.

Norwalk, CT

Norwalk is one of the most varied towns we work in — waterfront neighborhoods near South Norwalk, older housing stock closer to downtown, and newer residential construction further inland. That variety means there’s no single “typical” Norwalk project: we see everything from historic homes that need a full building-envelope upgrade to newer construction that just needs specific problem areas addressed, like an attic or a garage.

Westport, CT

Westport’s proximity to Long Island Sound and Compo Beach means many homes here deal with the same coastal humidity and moisture concerns as Stamford’s and Greenwich’s waterfront neighborhoods, on top of a housing stock that ranges from well-preserved historic homes to large modern new-builds. Both ends of that range benefit from the same thing: a fully sealed building envelope that keeps moisture out and conditioned air in, regardless of when the house was built.

Fairfield, CT

Fairfield combines a long shoreline along Long Island Sound with inland neighborhoods further from the water, plus a large stock of older homes near its town center and university area. Homes closer to the water benefit most from closed-cell foam’s moisture resistance in basements and crawl spaces, while the town’s older inland housing stock more often needs attic and wall insulation to stop the drafts and heat loss that come with decades-old construction.

Wilton, CT

Wilton is one of the more rural, wooded towns in our service area, with larger lots and a housing stock that includes a significant number of older colonial and farmhouse-style homes. These homes often have irregular framing and multiple additions built over the years, which is exactly the kind of construction spray foam handles well — it expands to seal odd-shaped cavities and gaps that traditional batt insulation, cut to fit standard framing, tends to miss.

Ridgefield, CT

Ridgefield’s well-preserved New England town character comes with a lot of older housing stock, including many homes in and around its historic Main Street area. Older Connecticut homes like these were generally built with little to no wall insulation and minimal air sealing by today’s standards, so a full-envelope approach — attic, walls, and basement — tends to make a bigger difference here than in newer construction.

Weston, CT

Weston is a quiet, heavily wooded town with large residential lots and very little commercial development, and its housing stock reflects that — mostly single-family homes with larger attics and more exterior wall area to insulate than a typical in-town property. That extra surface area is exactly where a fully sealed building envelope pays off the most in year-round energy savings.
